PNE x NYC: Post Neo Explosionism at CBGB's

On Saturday, Sept. 17th POST NEO EXPLOSIONISM landed in New York City at CBGB'S, 'ground-zero' of punk-rock history, for a one night showing of pivotal rock-and-roll concert poster art called 'PNE x NYC: Post Neo Explosionism at CBGB's', presented by SCION, CMJ & CBGB's.

Post Neo Explosionism' (PNE) is a periodic artistic collaborative 'idea' involving 3 well-known rock-and-roll concert poster artists: Justin Hampton, Jermaine Rogers and EMEK.

Dozens of rare and collectible posters were on display at CB's 313 GALLERY for one night and available for purchase. The showing was a huge success with guests from Spin Magazine, the Village Voice, CMJ and the one and only George Clinton from the P-Funk All Stars! A portion of all proceeds were donated to the Red Cross and support for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The artists were in appearance, mingling in with the crowds and soaking up the vibes of the final night of the CMJ Music Marathon, a co-sponsor of this event. The music of The Black Out Pact, Amber Pacific, Nural, Aberdeen City, The Late Greats, & Tim Williams blasted the crowd away. It was an epic show!

You can now purchase one of the remaining show posters from the event here>>>>>>

The 313 gallery. The room was packed all night long.

A rock poster feast for the eyes!

Fan's came out from all over the East Coast to take it all in.

Feasting on the visual plethora happened that night.

The funk master himself, George Clinton, and PNE. He was cool as chitlen foo young.

8:00 in the morning the day of the show at the main room of CBGB's. It was eerie to stand in the empty room. History was made here and it's ghosts of the past are tangible in the air. This place is a landmark and it meant to be preserved. Go to www.CBGB.com and give your support to the greatest punk venue in the world!
