John Buscema (1927-2002)

I had the privilege to meet, the now late, John Buscema at the 2001 San Diego Comic Convention. He will be sorely missed by generations of fans. The Comic artist great, illustrated such comics as The Silver Surfer, Fantastic Four, The Avengers, Sub Mariner, Thor and Conan the Barbarian. He also wrote the "Bible" of comics with Stan lee, "How to draw comics the Marvel way". He set a standard that will last forever. I was truly elated when I got the chance to show him my portfolio and he "wowed" at every page. I was on cloud nine for days, a moment that I'll never forget. Rest in peace John, you'll always be with us.
